Thursday, May 28 - The Zhengzhou municipal government organized the first International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Global Crowdfunding. Leaders present included Wu Tianjun, the Provincial Party Secretary of Henan, Xu Jichao, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Zhengzhou, Ma Yi, Mayor of Zhengzhou, and hundreds of industry leaders and business representatives from both China and abroad.

The Conference was set up with the help of experts and scholars in the field of innovative entrepreneurship. Dr. Shawn Chen, the Chairman of the Board of Sias, delivered a keynote speech, and was invited to serve as one of the first innovation consultants, appointed by Mayor Ma Yi.

More than 23 countries were represented at the Conference, such as the United States, Israel, India, Russia, South Korea, and Belgium. There were over 80 foreign guests in attendance including representatives of foreign investment and financing institutions, technology incubators, technology firm representatives, and foreign students. Guests were invited to invest in over 200 institutions and listed companies, with over 800 items including service platforms, technology transfer, and innovation projects.

Chen Zhao, the Managing Partner of the Sias-Amidi US-China Startups Incubation Center, hosted a forum with entrepreneurs and heads of incubators from Silicon Valley (USA), India, Russia, China, Spain, and Australia, where they could interact and share their experiences.

This Summit had over 300 innovative venture projects, established 2 home investment funds, more than 30 newly listed enterprises, and a variety of agreements that provided the financial backing for more incubators and innovation ventures.
