Choral Competition for '9-18 Incident' Remembrance

Friday, September 11 - To commemorate the 84th anniversary of the ‘9-18 Incident’ (also known as theMukden Incident), Sias International University held a choral competition. During the competition, freshmen from each school sang patriotic songs. At the end, the School of International Education won the first prize.

Sias Party Secretary Fei Hexiang, Vice President Liu Shuqin, Li Haijun, advisor and former Sias President were present at the competition, as well as Sias school leaders and teachers. All freshmen for the academic year 2015-16 participated in the event.

Fei Hexiang, who gave the introductory speech, encouraged and challenged the freshmen to maintain the highest standards of hard work and discipline. He also spoke about the 9-18 Incident in 1931, and the consequences that China suffered as a result of it. He said that he hoped that students would learn from history and would work hard to avoid repeating it.
