April 3, 2015

Sias International University President, Dr. Richard Li-Hua, led a delegation to Taiwan to begin the process of recruiting professors for the university. The delegation included the Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department (ICED), William Lu, the Associate Dean of Sias' School of Business, Andrew Zhao, and a member of the Human Resources Department, Wu Tong Hui. The delegation visited four universities, including three partner schools in Taoyuan City, Taichung City, and Kaohsiung City.

On March 29, President Li-Hua met with Dr. Kong Xiangke of the Euro-Asia Research Center at the Chien Hsin University of Science & Technology in Taoyuan City. In addition to talking about the recruitment of professors, they also discussed the possibility of establishing a joint research center in Sias.

The delegation then visited partner schools across Taiwan - Providence University in Taichung City, the National Taichung University of Education also in Taichung City, and I-Shou University in Kaohsiung City. As well as promoting Sias International University, they spoke of building common research and technology platforms, implementing projects on both sides, and recruiting Taiwanese professors for teaching and research at Sias. They also met with exchange students at these universities.

The visit to these universities in Taiwan seeks to carry on the international development work going on at Sias, and the intended recruitment of professors aims to increase the bilingual focus of Sias' educational outlook.
