The 9th International Forum on Yellow Emperor Culture was held at Sias International University. More than 30 journalists, and over 1,000 students and faculty attended the opening ceremony. The theme of the forum was the "Spirit of Traditional Chinese Culture".

The forum was opened by the mayor of Xinzheng, Liu Jianwu, and was presided over by former Henan Provincial Secretary, Xu Guangchun. Among the several dignitaries present were Party Secretary, and Honorary President of the Henan Provincial Huangdi Culture Institute, Li Baishuan, the Mayor of Zhengzhou, Ma Yi, Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, Sias Party Secretary, Fei Hexiang, and Sias President, Dr. Richard Li-Hua.

During the forum, there were art exhibitions, film screenings, and a series of interviews, among other activities, that served up a cultural feast for the audience.
