Henan Department of Education Leaders Meet with FHSU Delegation

The President of Fort Hays State University (FHSU), Dr. Mirta Martin, accompanied by the Founder of Sias International University, Dr. Shawn Chen, visited Zhengzhou University and met with leaders of the Henan Department of Education, including the Director, Zhu Qingmeng, the Deputy Director Zi Xinjian, and the Assistant Director, Rong Xihai.


Zi Xinjian welcomed the delegation and introduced the situation of reform and opening up, economic construction, and educational development of Henan province. Both sides spoke in depth on how to further improve the quality of education, deepen substantive cooperation projects, and promote educational cooperation. FHSU President, Dr. Mirta Martin, also met with leaders of Zhengzhou University, with whom her university has had important ties.


The US-based Fort Hays State University began their partnership with the Henan Provincial Government as early as 1981. For years, both sides strove continuously to deepen their educational, cultural, trade, and economic cooperation, and not long ago, in Henan province, FHSU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in education, agriculture, and culture-related activities. The introduction of high-quality educational resources to promote an international education has played a very positive role in Henan province.
