On the morning of September 24, Sias International University hosted the 2013 International Association Of University Presidents (IAUP) semi-annual meeting. 

Over 80 well-known university presidents, experts, and scholars from 29 countries came for the meeting to enhance the mutual understanding between their institutions of higher learning, promote international exchanges and cooperation, and discuss the internationalization of higher education development. The President of the IAUP, and President of Sofia University, Dr. Neal King, presented a report on the initiatives and partnerships undertaken and announced that the 17th anniversary celebrations of the IAUP would be held in 2014. The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, welcomed the guests, and briefly spoke about the continuing development of Sias.

On the evening of the 24th, Dr. Shawn Chen welcomed the guests and thanked each department for their participation. He announced the signing of agreements with Fairleigh Dickinson University, Central Oklahoma University, CETYS University (Mexico), Caucasus University (Georgia), and Universidad Privada Boliviana (Bolivia).
