On November 15, Sias International University organized the first Charity Banquet & Charity Auction in its Administration Building. Many university leaders and guests attended the event. The guests included representatives from the Beijing Construction Decoration Engineering Company, the Sias Garden Design Engineering Co., Kaiyuan Group, and several local banks.

The charity auction began with a silent auction, in which bids were written on a sheet of paper. The attendees walked around to look at a variety of items such as bronze ware, jewelry, and calligraphy.

The evening began with a video profiling two Sias students who have deep financial needs. The Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, said that he was moved by the perseverance and efforts of the two students, and also by the people who made the donations. He said that everyone had a responsibility to contribute. The donations were meant not only to help the students but also to help society as a whole.

Later, the open auction began with items including a VIP golf card, a VIP swimming card, the chance to have dinner with Shawn Chen, and the chance to spend the weekend at the No. 2 Villa at Sias. Sias Party Secretary, Fei Hexiang, also invited the famous Chinese artist couple, Zhao Guozhen and Hu Shuying to make an impromptu painting. All the money collected will be used to assist needy students and will be donated directly to student charities.
