2012 Sino-US Summer Camp Opening Ceremony

On the evening of July 7, Sias International University held the opening ceremony for its Sino-US Summer Camp and the Elite Summer Camp in the Basketball Arena. Sias President, Li Haijun, the Director of the Student Affairs Office, Zhao Fei, camp participants, and their parents attended the ceremony.


The ceremony began with the national anthems of the People's Republic of China and the United States of America. President Li Haijun delivered a speech in which he said that he hoped that every participant would make new friends, practice their oral English, and enjoy themselves. It was followed by speeches delivered by representatives of foreign teachers, camp counselors, and camp participants. Zhao Fei handed over the camp flags to two summer camp representatives. Following the speeches, several performances ended the opening ceremony. 


The Sino-US Summer Camp will last 15 days, and the Elite Summer Camp for 21 days. The main focuses of the camp are the improvement of oral English skills, the development of teamwork among participants, learning how to be independent, and also how to be a leader.
