Two foreign faculty members and one student from Sias International University completed the 2007 Toray Cup International Half-Marathon in Shanghai on November 25. Drew Tilson finished the 21-kilometer course in 1 hour, 54 minutes, and 6 seconds. He was followed by Lyndi Milton who had a finishing time of 1 hour, 54 minutes, and 54 seconds. Senior student, Andy Chen had a finishing time of 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 55 seconds.

The men's category was won by Zhao Yang in 1 hour, 5 minutes, and 41 seconds and the women's category was won by Dong Xiaoqin in 1 hour, 13 minutes, and 5 seconds. According to the official website, over 20,000 runners lined up for the race at Century Park to meander through the streets of Shanghai.

A large number of participants and some of the narrow streets of Shanghai caused a few bottlenecks along the route. Despite battling the crowds and a cold, Lyndi Milton was able to turn in a personal-best time. "[In] the last 5 kilometers I got nauseous. They were kind of rough," she said. "I really wanted to walk. I knew Drew was about a minute ahead and I really wanted to catch him. I don't think I could have run it any harder."
