2007 Homecoming

Graduates and students, along with their parents, took part in Sias International University's annual Homecoming on May 26. The event was also a chance for alumni to return and reconnect with their old classmates.


Homecoming kicked off with a special performance at the School of Opera building. The performance was a mix of Eastern and Western cultures, featuring opera selections by Sias students and Western Connecticut State University students. Top teachers were recognized by the Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen. Throughout the day various departments and academic schools organized programs.


A new addition to Homecoming was the Women's Symposium. Sias Foundation Board Member, Jerrie Ueberle, and instructor Carol Blanchard organized the event to inform and encourage women students and mothers. Special speakers at the event included Sherry Liu and Lian Zi.
