The Deputy Director of the Department of Policy & Regulations at the Henan Department of Education, Ping Qi, visited Sias University on the 29th of July, to investigate and oversee the damage, repairs, and relief after the recent storm-related flooding. He said that the safety and security of the students and staff were most important. Ping Qi was accompanied by the Director of the Department of Policy & Regulation at the Henan Department of Education, Jin Chunhui, and Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, and Vice President, Zheng Min. The heads of flood control and relief coordination, student management, infrastructure support, logistics, and security were also present.

The visitors were accompanied on a campus tour that included dormitories and classrooms, the CUBA Training Facility, and the School of Foreign Languages building, to show the flood control and disaster relief work at Sias.

Ping Qi approved of Sias' work towards flood control and its post-disaster reconstruction work. He said that because of the severe flooding across Henan, the university had responded quickly and had taken appropriate measures that had guaranteed the safety and security of teachers, students, and property. He said that this work was complex, and no effort should be spared to prevent post-flood landslides and implement disaster relief measures for teachers and students.

To ensure the safety of the Sias campus, Zheng Min led a comprehensive inspection of the educational facilities and student dormitories of the university on the 27th of July.
