Sias University and China Unicom joined hands to give free mobile phone cards to students with financial difficulties at Sias to help them prepare for online classes in the upcoming semester. The donations were overseen by Acting President, Zhao Yuxin, Consultant at Sias' Information Construction & Management Office, Li Xia, Deputy Head of the Student Work Department and Executive Vice President of the Office of Residential Colleges, Bai Meng, the Chairman of the Trade Union of China Unicom (Xinzheng Branch), Wang Heping, Deputy General Manager of China Unicom (Xinzheng Branch), Li Ying, and the Director of China Unicom (Xinzheng Branch), Zhu Xiaoping.

At the student dormitories, Zhao Yuxin met with students and inquired about their studies and their living conditions. He encouraged them to use the teaching materials available at Sias and presented them with free mobile phone cards. He said that Sias University was a student-centered institution in practice. He said that he hoped that students would face their difficulties with courage, seize all learning opportunities, and cooperate with teachers to complete their online courses. The leaders of China Unicom (Xinzheng Branch) introduced the students to the functions and uses of the mobile phone cards in detail and said that reminded them that Sias was the only university that gave students free mobile phone cards because of the pandemic.

Sias University has cooperated with China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, to mail free mobile phone cards with 2 months of free broadband and mobile phone concessions to students with financial difficulties who are unable to return to the university due to the pandemic, and teachers as well, to ensure the smooth functioning of online classes during the pandemic lockdown.
