The leader of the Third Steering Group for Covid-19 Prevention & Control of Colleges and Universities in Xinzheng City, Xing Chaoyang, visited Sias University on the 25th of August, to inspect and guide the prevention and control measures in preparation for the opening of the university. Sias Vice President, Zheng Min, accompanied the inspection team along with the heads of special working groups.

Xing Chaoyang and his delegation inspected Sias' work concerning the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, including campus public health and safety, material reserves of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), emergency plan drills at cafeterias, student apartments, faculty residential buildings, and warehouses. They had detailed interactions with the leaders of the university's working groups and examined data concerning student health, campus cleaning records, and vaccination statistics.

Xing Chaoyang expressed his appreciation for the preparations for the opening of the university and the flood control and disaster relief efforts at the university. He said that the overall operations of Sias University were in good condition with all the arrangements in accordance with the government's requirements. He also stressed the need to continually improve work plans and clarify responsibilities. He said that the goal was to normalize the situation concerning the prevention and control of the pandemic. He encouraged the continued implementation of campus safety measures for the opening of the university for the new semester in the autumn.

Zheng Min said that Sias would improve its work plans and responsibilities by following the instructions from the Henan Communist Party Committee and the Henan Government. The goal, she reiterated, was the safe and smooth opening of the university for the 2021/22 academic year.
