Sias University held its annual Homecoming Day on the 5th of June. The festivities involved activities including a military marching band performance, float parade, international education exhibition, graduation exhibition, alumni summit, and Birdman competition.

The Homecoming Parade began at 8:30 a.m. with a parade of floats that focused on the Chinese nation's rejuvenation and strength. The parade was followed by Homecoming performances organized by the School of Music & Opera.

The guests at the celebrations included:

- the former Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Henan Provincial Committee, Deputy Party Secretary, and President of the Henan Charity Association, Deng Yongjian;

- Vice President of Jiangnan University, Tian Bei;

- Director of the Science, Education, Culture, and Health Committee of the CPPCC Henan Provincial Committee and former Director of the Henan Department of Culture, Yang Liping;

- Inspector and Deputy Director of the Henan Department of Culture & Tourism, Kang Jie;

- Deputy Inspector of the Henan Department of Culture & Tourism, Qin Shuguang;

The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice President, Zhao Yuxin, and Vice President, Xu Shengdao, were also present along with students, teachers, and several Sias Alumni.

After the singing of the national anthem of the People's Republic of China, Dr. Chen delivered a speech. He spoke about Sias' adherence to international characteristics, and the increased publicity that its traditions have gained, particularly Homecoming. He said that Sias aimed to integrate industry and education for the social development of Central China.

In his speech, Tian Bei spoke about the cooperation between Sias University and Jiangnan University and their shared goals. He said that Sias had produced batch after batch of excellent students who had been given a holistic education and said that he hoped that the two universities would increase exchanges and cooperation.

Outstanding Alumnus, Dou Yanyan, spoke about the openness and inclusiveness she experienced as a student at Sias and how it helped her. She encouraged students to take less and give more and embrace changes in society while making good life choices.

Parents' Representative, Li Xiaomei, thanked Sias on behalf of the Parents' Supervision Committee. She said that Sias had spared no effort to bring in experts from all over the world to give students a superior learning environment and motivate them.

At the ceremony, Sias University held signing ceremonies with China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom. Following this, an unveiling ceremony of the "Sias-British University Alliance" was held. Sias also signed agreements with the Henan Institute of Cultural Heritage & Archaeology, the Henan Institute of Cultural Relics & Architecture Protection, and the Henan Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center. After the ceremonies, the audience was treated to an array of performances by students and teachers from Sias.

In the afternoon, at the annual Sias Alumni Association Summit, Dr. Shawn Chen met with visiting alumni. The Founder and CEO of POP MART, Wang Ning, also an Outstanding Sias Alumnus, met with others at the summit.

Throughout the day, Sias student-centered held activities such as the annual Birdman competition, 2021 Graduation Design Exhibition, 2021 International Education Exhibition, academic lectures, Parents Exchange Conference, University Debate Invitational, a Basketball Invitational, the Sias Alumni Salon, Fluorescent Color Run, and several entertainment shows. The 2020 Graduation Ceremony was also held in the afternoon as the Class of 2020 was not able to have their Commencement in 2020 due to the restrictions brought about by the fight against the Coronavirus Pandemic at the time.
