The 2021 Outstanding Graduate Representative Forum at Sias University was held on the 7th of June at the Administration Building. he Founder, and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Shawn Chen; Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng; Executive President, Wang Jialin; Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng; Vice President, Zhao Yuxin; and Vice President, Xu Shengdao, attended the Forum. The Chairman of the Student Discipline Steering Committee, and the Chairman of the Dormitory Autonomy Management Committee also attended the Forum. The Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office, and Executive Vice President of the General Office of the Residential Colleges, Bai Meng, presided over the Forum.
Dr. Chen said that 2021 bore unique significance as it was the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. He said that during the past 22 years in the development of the university, Sias had given great importance to the opinions and suggestions of the students. He said that he hoped that after graduation, they would represent Sias well and contribute to the future of the university.
Representatives of the Outstanding Graduates spoke about their journeys through university life as well as the Postgraduate Entrance Examination, social practices, entrepreneurship, employment, and their experiences during the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. They thanked the leaders of Sias for providing them with the resources to grow, particularly the residential college system and the campus environment. They also offered suggestions and advice on academic course creation, studying methods, teaching optimization, curriculum improvement, the integration of industry and education, social practices, and inter-departmental cooperation.
The Sias leaders thanked the outstanding graduate representatives individually and wished them well for their future. Ma Jiansheng said that Sias should take what the students said seriously and carefully consider their suggestions in combination with the university's own plans for reform and development.
One of the representatives, Yang Gaoyuan, led the students in their old "Oath of Honor". The forum closed with the singing of the Sias song - "My Sias".
