Sias University held a conference to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Executive President, Wang Jialin, Deputy Party Secretary, and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Li Huafeng, Vice President Zhao Yuxin, Vice President, Xu Shengdao, and Vice President, and Chairman of the Trade Union, Wu Hua, attended the event. All leaders and secretaries of the various Party branches and grassroots organizations, teachers' representatives, and several students were also present.

Wang Jialin read out the decisions for several awards including:

- the Sias University Communist Party Committee commendation for individuals in micro Party classes for the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic

- the Sias University Communist Party Committee commendation for individuals in the Party History Knowledge Competition of "Reading the History of the Party for 100 years and Practicing the Original Mission"

- the Sias University Communist Party Committee publishing of benchmark units of Party construction and the Second Batch of Model University-Level Party branches

- the Sias University Communist Party Committee recognition of outstanding Communist Party members, Outstanding Party Affairs Workers, and Advanced Grassroots Party Organizations

- the Working Committee of Colleges and Universities of the Henan CPC Committee publishing the evaluation results of the First Batch of Provincial Model University-Level Party branches in Henan

- the Working Committee of Colleges and Universities of the Henan CPC Committee commendation of Outstanding Party members, Outstanding Party workers, and Advanced Grassroots Party Organizations.

He also called on all Party members to make new contributions to the development of the 14th Five Year Plan, with an improved benchmark.

Following the announcements, a grand commendation ceremony was held. The leaders of participating schools jointly awarded medals and honorary certificates for the award-winning units and individuals from the Micro Party Class Competition, the award-winning units and individuals from the Party History Knowledge Competition, the Model Party Branch at the university level, the benchmark of Party Construction award, the "Two Bests, One First" award at the university level, the Model Party Branch at the provincial level, and the "Two Bests, One First" award at the provincial level.

The Party Secretary of the School of Business, Zhu Haitao, and Outstanding Communist Party Representative (Provincial-Level), and Tutor at Zhishan Residential College, Wang Fei, delivered speeches. They expressed their gratitude and love for the Party and said that they would continue to adhere to the tenets of the Party and raise its profile with their actions.

Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, then delivered a speech. On behalf of the Sias Communist Party Committee, he congratulated the groups and individuals who received commendations. He spoke about the history of the Communist Party of China over the past 100 years, summarized the Party's work at Sias, and put forward specific requirements for the next phase in its development. He said that all Party organizations and Party members at all levels should understand their mission and their responsibilities.

- First, they should remember their original mission and consolidate the foundations of their beliefs. Party members, teachers, and students of Sias should strengthen their ideals and beliefs, and maintain ideological, political, and practical unity for the improvement of the Party's adaptability, cohesion, and effectiveness. This, he said, would provide a guarantee for the developmental undertakings of the university;

- Second, they should exercise strict self-discipline and work towards being pioneers. Members should focus on the spirit of the Party and their conduct by combining the study of the history of the Party with the centennial celebrations. Through the implementation of the fundamental task of nurturing morality and society, and with the promotion of reform and development at Sias, they would ensure a greater amount of achievements and learning at the university.

- Third, members should shoulder their responsibilities and continue to work hard.

The conference came to an end with the singing of "The Internationale".
