The Henan Traditional & Creative Culture (根文创文化 - Gēn Wén Chuàng Wén Huà) Research Institute sponsored the 2021 Xinzheng City "Dǒu IN Xinzheng" Short Video Contest on the 9th of May in Yanhuang Square in Xinzheng. Sias University won the 'Best Organization Award' in the 2021 Short Video Competition, and videos produced by the Sias News Center - "Early Snow" and "Yì Yán Wéi Dìng" - won the 'Best Campus' and 'Best Short Video' awards respectively. The 4-month contest was organized by the Publicity Department of the Xinzheng Municipal Communist Party Committee; the Municipal Network Information Office; the Municipal Federation of Literary & Art Circles; the Xinzheng Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Tourism and Sports; and the Xinzheng Film & Television Association.

The contest had 4 aspects - the Charm of Xinzheng, Xinzheng Culture, Xinzheng's Warmth, and Xinzheng's Vitality. Since its launch in January, there have been over 260 submissions. Through a system of online voting and exhibitions, the total number of views reached 606,147, with 85,983 votes cast. The contest organized 60 awards to encourage people to promote the city of Xinzheng and its ancient culture through film.
