An inspection and evaluation team from the Henan Academic Degrees Committee visited Sias University on May 13. The delegation included the Vice President of the North China University of Water Resources & Electric Power, Prof. Liu Handong; Prof. Zhang Dongchu from the Zhengzhou University of Light Industry; Prof. Wu Huixin from the North China University of Water Resources & Electric Power; Prof. Fang Yongjun from the Henan University of Economics & Law; and Prof. Li Qiong from Xinxiang Medical College. The delegation also included 9 members from the Henan Academic Degrees Committee including Cao Keshun, Zhou Chaoxia, and Zhang Huaping. The inspection team came to review Sias' application for additional Bachelor's degree authorizations and to authorize 4 special academic disciplines.

Sias Executive President, Wang Jialin, presented a report on Sias' application from 3 aspects - the basic situation of the university, undergraduate education, and teaching, its unique characteristics. The members of the inspection team visited the Sias Library, the postgraduate entrance examination area, laboratories, the Basketball Arena, intelligent classrooms, residential colleges, and other educational and student residential facilities. They conducted a comprehensive audit on all aspects of Sias' undergraduate education by reviewing material, conducting random inspections of classrooms and attending lectures, and engaging in dialogue with teachers and students. The inspection team gave its approval for additional Bachelor's degree authorizations and 4 special academic disciplines.
