Sias University held a special meeting for the Prevention & Control of the Covid-19 Pandemic during the winter and spring (2nd semester). The meeting was held in the 7th floor Conference Room in the Administration Building. Sias Vice President, and Chairman of the Trade Union, Wu Hua, attended the meeting along with leaders of the Prevention & Control Working Groups. The Director of the Administration Office, Qin Nan, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Qin Nan presented a report on the work towards prevention and control in the education system in Zhengzhou and Xinzheng. The Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office and Executive Vice President of the General Office of the Residential Colleges, Bai Meng, who is the Head of the Student Working Group, presented a report on the student examinations and prevention and control plans for 2021. The heads of the 12 working groups at Sias presented reports on recent developments and the university's prevention and control work.

Wu Hua said that in the winter the pressure of the Covid-19 pandemic was gradually increasing and the situation both in China and across the world was getting more severe and complex. He said that all special classes and teams for the prevention and control should be aware of their importance and the long-term nature of their work during the winter and the spring of 2021. He encouraged them not to be weary or slack, maintaining a high level of caution, vigilance, and consistency. In conclusion, he put forward 4 requirements:

- all students and teaching staff who exit the campus should be examined, and campus access control should be improved;

- the key points of prevention and control, particularly documentation should be prioritized;

- preparations for teachers and students who leave the campus for the winter holiday should be made, and these teachers and students should be given clear instructions with regard to prevention and control work;

- plans for the beginning of the spring (2nd) semester should be made and released well in advance.
