Xi'an University of Foreign Studies Professor gives Lecture at Sias

Professor Sun Xun, from the Xi'an Foreign Studies University, visited Sias University's School of Foreign Languages and delivered a special academic lecture on December 18. The Director of the Japanese Department, Wang Xianjin, presided over the event. Teachers from the School of Foreign Languages and students from the Japanese Department attended the lecture.


Prof. Sun analyzed the representative problems in the learning of the Japanese language, such as how to use honorifics correctly, how to use Japanese politely in daily conversation, and how to choose the appropriate Japanese vocabulary for expressions. He encouraged students to read and recite what they learned as it was an essential part of learning a foreign language. He also conversed with students after the lecture.


The academic lecture was held to clarify the fundamentals of learning a foreign language, particularly for Japanese majors. It aimed at building confidence in learning and guiding students to follow the correct learning methods.
