Guest Lecture by Vice-Chancellor of Henan University of Economics & Law

The Vice-Chancellor of Henan University of Economics & Law, Prof. Xue Yulian, delivered a special academic lecture on the afternoon of November 2, as a part of Sias University's 22nd International Culture Week. The lecture was titled, "Future Economic Development Trends and the Knowledge Structure of Accounting Majors". Sias Vice President, Zhao Yuxin, the Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Accounting, Zhang Leiming, and the Vice Dean of the School of Accounting, Chang Faliang, attended the lecture, as did over 160 students and teachers.


Xue Yulian focused on the economic development trends in the world and in China, the challenges faced by students majoring in Accounting, the knowledge structure that Accounting students should have, and their career development prospects. She discussed the influence of technological progress and business model innovation on Accounting from the perspectives of both students and businesses. She also analyzed existing problems in Accounting education with the goal of improving the system and then put forward ideas for teaching reform, content reform, teaching method reform, and practice reform, based on the economic development of China and the professional prospects for Accounting students.


In a subsequent exchange forum, Xue Yulian put forward suggestions for academic course creation, personnel training, undergraduate evaluation, and other aspects of Sias' School of Accounting.
