The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias University, Dr. Shawn Chen, was invited to attend the 14th Annual Meeting of the Association of Universities of Asia & the Pacific (AUAP) on November 18 in Manila, in the Philippines. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the meeting was held online. Over 240 guests from 16 countries across the world attended the meeting, including the Head of the Department of Education Innovation & Technological Development of UNESCO, and the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission of the Philippines.

At the beginning of the AUAP Annual Meeting, a series of elections were held, as a result of which, Dr. Chen was elected to the Board of the AUAP. Later, Dr. Chen gave a keynote speech titled, 'Countermeasures for Higher Education during the Pandemic'. Using Sias University as an example, he shared the experience and achievements made during the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. He called on colleges and universities around the world to work together to win the war against the pandemic. Participants expressed their desire to increase exchanges with Sias to deepen the cooperation between institutions.

The Director of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Sias University, Yue Junliang, was elected to the AUAP Finance Committee as an Internal Auditor.
