The 2020 (Annual) Meeting of the University Quality Education Research Branch of the Chinese Association of Higher Education (CAHE), and the 9th University Quality Education Forum, were held from October 15 to 17. The events were jointly sponsored by the Quality Education Research Branch of CAHE and the Henan University of Science & Technology. The chief guests included the Vice President and Secretary-General of CAHE, Jiang Enlai; the Director of the Higher Education Department at the Henan Provincial Department of Education, Zhang Shuichao; the Director-General of the Quality Education Research Branch of CAHE, Li Hezhang; the Vice President of Beijing Institute of Technology and President of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, Li Hezhang; the Party Secretary of Henan University of Science & Technology, Cui Shizhong; and the Vice President of Zhengzhou University, Zhang Qianhong.

Over 600 Party Secretaries, Presidents, experts, scholars, and teachers from over 200 universities across China attended the meeting. The Deputy Director of Sias University's Student Affairs Office, and Executive Vice President of the General Office of the Residential Colleges at Sias, Bai Meng, was invited to attend the Forum, as was the President of Siqi Residential College, He Nanfeng.

During the conference, the organizers held several fora for experts and scholars, including an Academic Affairs Forum, a College Students Forum, an Entrepreneur Forum, and 6 parallel sub-fora. Some of the topics discussed at the fora were "Quality Education in the New Era", "Laws of Moral, Intellectual, Physical, Aesthetic and Labor Education", "Integration Training of General and Professional Education", "Teaching Innovation of General Education Courses", "Quality Education and College Students' Growth", and "Leadership Education for College Students".

Bai Meng and He Nanfeng spoke about the Integration of Chinese and Western Culture and the practice of Holistic Education, and Practical Research on University Students' Leadership Education in the Residential College System. They also delivered speeches in two sub-forums - "Quality Education in the New Era", and "Leadership Education for College Students" - where they spoke about Sias University's Residential College System and the achievements of reform at the university.
