Sias University held a special meeting on August 19 for the implementation of the new methodologies for the prevention and control of the Coronavirus pandemic during the autumn and winter. The regulations were put forward by the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Education, issued for higher education institutions, primary schools, middle schools, nurseries, and kindergartens. Sias Executive President, Wang Jialin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice President, Zhao Yuxin, Vice President, Xu Shengdao, and Vice President and Chairman of the Trade Union, Wu Hua, attended the meeting. Wang Jialin presided over the meeting.

The Director of the Administration Office, Qin Nan, informed the leaders and heads of departments present at the meeting of the requirements in the notices on the prevention and control of the Coronavirus pandemic in the autumn and winter from the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Education. The requirements were specific to the province of Henan, the Zhengzhou metropolitan area, and Xinzheng city. The Assistant Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Zhu Lin, presented the timelines and work plans with regard to the return of students during the first semester of the 2020/21 academic year.

After this, the people in charge of various aspects of the prevention and control of the Coronavirus pandemic in the autumn and winter presented reports and work plans. They also discussed potential improvements in their work plans.

The leaders stressed that all departments at all levels, including all teachers and students, should have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and implement all the tasks that they are assigned. They said that everyone at Sias should work towards the opening up of the first (autumn) semester while sparing no effort in continuing to observe the regulations for the prevention and control of the Coronavirus pandemic.
