First Batch of Students Return to Sias

Sias University welcomed the first batch of returning students on May 29. Over 800 students returned for the semester after the Covid-19 pandemic quarantines and lockdown.

Sias arranged for special vehicles and volunteers to welcome and receive the students from Zhengzhou Railway Station. At the Sias campus, arrangements were made for students to be transported to their dormitories one by one. The Founder and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Shawn Chen, also drove his car to contribute to the services for the returning students.

During the day, university leaders went to the East Gate of the campus to aid in the scanning of QR codes and temperature checking areas, as well as at student dormitories and cafeterias, to get a detailed understanding of the identity verification, temperature detection, information registration, luggage disinfecting, safe dining procedures, and other aspects of the return of students to the university. They also provided guidance to staff at the front lines for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic. Some university leaders also went to Zhengzhou Railway Station to greet returning students and visit staff.

Returning students said that were excited to return to their campus. Sias, with its student-centered ethos, provided detailed and thorough arrangements for the students' return to the university. Returning students are required to strictly abide by the university's regulations for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic.
