Sias University held a special meeting, on April 27, to implement the directives of the Henan Communist Party Committee, the Henan Government, and the Henan Department of Education, for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, the safety of students, orderly return of students and faculty, and education and teaching during and after the return. The Henan Department of Education issued a notice to universities and colleges to create plans for the orderly return of students.

The Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen; Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng; Executive President, Wang Jialin; Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng; Vice Presidents, Zhao Yuxin; Xu Shengdao, and Wu Hua; and Prof. Guo Junfeng, attended the meeting along with other university leaders. Wang Jialin presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, the leaders in charge of the Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office, Security Department, Logistics & Infrastructure Department, Sias Clinic, and the Propaganda Department presented reports for their plans. These included the prevention and control of the pandemic, plans for the return of students to the university, and special drills for emergency situations. The participants carefully discussed and studied each task and responsibility for the return to school of students, ensured that the main responsibilities were coordinated, and refined plans for the reopening of the university.

After listening to all the reports, the Sias leaders said that it was the university's responsibility to students, teachers, parents, and society that everyone involved with Sias returns safely. All departments must, in strict accordance with the requirements of the meeting, improve the plans for returning to school as soon as possible, continue to implement the measures for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, and ensure that the materials for all scenarios are sufficient. They said that the health and safety of the teachers and students after the start of the university was most important.
