Dr. Chen delivered a speech in which he pointed out that since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the university had invested in, and mobilized, a large number of both human and material resources for the prevention and control of the pandemic. The 'back-to-school' drill was actually a showcase of the results of work carried out over the past months, as well as a comprehensive investigation of the potential problems in the process of students returning to Sias. He said that through the drill the university hoped to improve, refine, and optimize the measures and processes put in place for the coordination of emergencies so that students and parents would be assured of the management and safety across the Sias campus. He said that even though the situation across China had improved, it was not the time to relax, and the prevention and control of the pandemic was still a top priority at Sias. The university would strictly implement the requirements and directives of government departments for the safety of teachers and students so that they could return and resume their classes.

Ma Jiansheng also delivered a speech. He said that the university would ensure that any gaps were filled and all preparations for the resumption of the university were in place, in accordance with the Henan Department of Education, and the pandemic prevention and control departments of both Zhengzhou and Xinzheng. He put forward 3 points:

- Second, continuous preparation for problem-solving for the prevention and control of the pandemic, as well as the integration of this work with the restoration of regular teaching and classes, and life at the university, were to be standardized;

- Third, the various arms of the Communist Party Committee and the Communist Youth League should take the initiative to lead and implement and delegate responsibilities step-by-step within regulations, for the health and safety of teachers and students.

He also thanked those involved in the drills and hoped that everyone would take their responsibilities seriously and implement all the training for the normalization and standardization of the prevention and control work to lay a solid foundation to win the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.
