The Ministry of Education in China recently released a list of undergraduate majors approved in certain private colleges and universities. The four new undergraduate majors approved for Sias University are Artificial Intelligence, Preschool Education, Environmental Design, and Product Design. All four majors will begin enrolling students for the 2020/2021 academic year.

In accordance with the provisions of the administration of undergraduate majors in institutions of higher education, the Ministry of Education organized the establishment and adjustment of undergraduate majors in institutions of higher education in 2019. The procedures for attaining these new special undergraduate majors included a declaration (of intent), publicity, examination and inspections, evaluation of the specialty by the Teaching Steering Committee of private colleges and universities, feedback from relevant departments, and approval from the state.

The approval of four new undergraduate majors will expand the range of talent produced by Sias University, as well as expand the range of educational options and development for students. It will also improve Sias' ability to contribute to the economic and social development of the region.
