Sias Student Donates Epidemic Prevention Materials

March 9, 2020

During the current critical situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, Zhang Ao, a third-year (Junior) Finance Management student at Sias University delivered a donation of epidemic prevention materials in support of the university's epidemic prevention and control work. Zhang Ao drove over 200 miles with her parents and purchased and donated a wide variety of materials that included 500 kilograms of 84 Disinfectant, 50 kilograms of 75% alcohol solution, 2 boxes of antibacterial hand sanitizers, 2 boxes of 75% sanitary wipes, and 100 boxes of toilet paper.

Sias Executive President, Wang Jialin, attended the donation ceremony. He expressed thanks on behalf of the university to Zhang Ao and her parents for their dedication and support of Sias' epidemic prevention work. He said that the university would register the donated materials as soon as possible and put them into the epidemic prevention material reserve as part of a front-line defense against the Covid-19 epidemic.

Zhang Ao's parents said that Sias had always provided care for the students, particularly after the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, including comprehensive protection guidance for students and their families, as well as ensuring the continuation of students' education and learning through online classes. It was this that motivated them to donate the epidemic prevention materials to the university.

In addition to this, businesses across the Sias campus, including the Coldplay supermarket, Lianhua supermarket, and Waka supermarket, have all donated supplies such as drinking water, dairy products, instant noodles, meat, and other daily necessities to the front-line staff during the university's fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. Sias has also received donations from alumni, partner schools, and international partners.
