On March 9, Member of the Standing Committee of the Xinzheng Municipal Committee and Political Commissar in the People's Liberation Army (PLA), Zheng Yanqing, visited Sias University to inspect and guide the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control work. Executive President, Wang Jialin, met with the delegation and accompanied them for the inspection.

During the inspection, Zheng Yanqing and his delegation inspected the isolation areas, the reserve and management of epidemic prevention materials, faculty and student management, the implementation of online teaching, the channels for raising epidemic prevention materials, the management of the foreign faculty and international students at Sias, and campus security measures. The Sias leadership delivered reports on all these areas.

Zheng Yanqing said that Sias should continue to work together with the local government to have a unified epidemic prevention and control plan in strict accordance with the relevant directives from superior departments and implement specific prevention and control plans. He also said that Sias should focus on the management of its foreign teachers and international students, strictly prevent any foreign input, implement scientifically-based epidemic prevention and control, strengthen the control of the safety and stability of the campus, and ensure the health and safety of teachers, staff, and students.
