Member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party, and Minister of Publicity in the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee, Huang Qing, and the Party Secretary of the Zhengzhou Education Bureau, Wang Zhongli, visited Sias University on March 10, to inspect and guide the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control work. Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Executive President, Wang Jialin, and Vice President, Wu Hua, met with and accompanied them on the inspection tour.

During the inspection, Huang Qing and Wang Zhongli visited Sias' epidemic prevention and control center, isolation area, security equipment, campus security measures, management of teachers and students, management of foreign teachers and international students, and the understanding and implementation of online teaching, including the teaching quality, monitoring, and feedback. They also inquired about the problems faced by students from poorer backgrounds and the daily life of foreign teachers and international lives on campus. The Sias leadership delivered comprehensive reports for each of the topics.

Huang Qing put forward the following suggestions. First, Sias should strictly follow the instructions from higher authorities, clarify their tasks with regard to the management of the epidemic prevention and control in the university, and follow the directives from the local government. Second, Sias was to improve its management system for teachers and students and ensure that no details slip through the cracks. Third, Sias should strengthen the quality of monitoring online teaching and classes, paying close attention to the participation of students, addressing problems, and dealing with feedback in a timely manner. He said that the promotion and development of online education was very important.
