Sias Founder Coordinates Donation of Epidemic Prevention Materials

February 22, 2020

Several Overseas Chinese have joined in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic in China. Among them, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, a Chinese-American, showed his love for his homeland by contributing to the prevention and control of the epidemic.

Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Sias Alumni Association, partner universities and colleges, and other affiliated institutions in the USA have expressed their concern about the spread of the epidemic by sending emails and messages of support and encouragement to Sias University. Some have sent epidemic prevention materials such as N-95 masks, protective clothing, gloves, and goggles, to China in several shipments to aid in the prevention and control of the epidemic in China and at Sias University.

On the 20th of February, a large shipment of urgently needed anti-epidemic materials was sent to Sias University from Los Angeles International Airport. Dr. Shawn Chen thanked the various donating parties for their support to China and Sias University, which included over 400 overseas alumni of Sias, and partner universities and colleges, including Fort Hays State University.
