Sias Vice President attends Provincial National Day Banquet

The Provincial Government of Henan held a National Day Banquet to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Henan Governor Chen Run'er attended the banquet. Sias University's Vice President, Wu Hua, attended the banquet along with representatives of Sias' foreign faculty.


In his speech, Governor Chen Run'er congratulated the people of Henan on behalf of the government. He also thanked the PLA officers and soldiers stationed in Henan. He extended his greetings to compatriots in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, as well as overseas Chinese who attended the banquet. He then thanked those in China and abroad who had contributed to the economic and social development of Henan.


He said that Henan had implemented President Xi Jinping's directives across the province. Over the past 70 years, the Communist Party of China had united the nation under the banner of socialist revolution and reform. Looking back over the past 70 years, he said, gave one great pride at the progress and prosperity of China. Governor Chen said that while there had been great progress, the people of Henan had gone through extraordinary struggles as well. He praised their hard work and said that while urban and rural areas were continually changing, Henan had shown itself to the world with a renewed attitude.
