University of Kansas delegation visits Sias

Sias University was visited by a delegation from the University of Kansas on October 15. The delegation was headed by the Associate Vice Provost for International Programs at the University of Kansas, Charles A. S. Bankart. Prof. Guo Junfeng, a member of the Sias leadership, met with Mr. Bankart, as did the Director of the Office of International Affairs. The delegation was taken on a tour of the Sias campus that included Sias' European Street, Student Activity Center, CUBA Training Facility, Golf Driving Range, Chinese Garden, and Library.


After the campus tour, the delegation had a meeting with Sias leaders. Prof. Guo Junfeng welcomed the delegation from the University of Kansas and spoke about the history and culture of Henan. He said that he hoped that the delegation would learn more about China and traditional Chinese culture during this visit. He also spoke about the development of Sias, its educational philosophy, academic concepts, internationalization, and campus culture. He encouraged the delegation to increase ties and exchanges with Sias.


Mr. Bankart spoke of his appreciation for Chinese culture and Sias' development. He shed light on the faculty and workings of the University of Kansas and expressed his desire for increased cooperation between the two universities.
