Sias University held a leadership meeting focused on risk prevention, safety, and security on September 3. Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Executive President, Wang Jialin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice Presidents, Wu Hua and Xu Shengdao, and Prof. Guo Junfeng were present. Also present were the heads of several departments at Sias including the Administrative Offices, Party Committee Office, Academic Affairs Office, Supervision and Audit Department, Student Affairs Office, Office of International Affairs, Human Resources Department, Financial Assets Department, United Front Work Department, Propaganda Department, Trade Union, Logistics Department, Security Office, Information Technology Management Center, as well as the heads of the primary school affiliated with Sias, and the Sias International Kindergarten.

At the meeting, the heads of the Security Office, Logistics Department, Academic Affairs Office, Educational & Scientific Research Department, Financial Assets Department, Office of International Affairs, Human Resources Department, Supervision and Audit Department, Sias Primary School, and Sias Kindergarten presented their proposed security measures and the implementation methods. These included work safety, traffic safety, food safety, epidemics prevention and control, fire prevention, communications fraud prevention, network security, and other potential safety hazards with their solutions.

The university leaders gave instructions to the department leaders after listening to their reports. They said that safety was something that could not be ignored at any time. It covered all aspects of daily life, some of which are student productivity, teaching, political thought, and food. All departments, they said, should reach a consensus on a course of action, coordinate with each other, make a clear division of labor, and address any areas with problems practically.

In conclusion, Ma Jiansheng said that the meeting was also to implement the requirements from the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government. He said that the thorough implementation of safety and security measures at Sias should be done as a contribution to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China as well.
