2019 Freshman Choral Competition

Sias University held a choral competition for the freshmen class of the 2019/20 academic year on September 11. The competition was held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, to enhance the students' sense of patriotism, and showcase the discipline learned so far in their military training. The Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Executive President, Wang Jialin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice President, Xu Shengdao, and Prof. Guo Junfeng attended the competition.


The competition opened with the singing of the national anthem of the People's Republic of China. Dr. Shawn Chen then delivered a speech and said that patriotism was a duty of university students.


Li Huafeng said that students needed to be united when facing difficulties and obstacles, as it was necessary for the progress of the nation. He said that students should pursue rational thinking, focus on their responsibilities, and improve themselves.
