A delegation from Chongqing University that included the Vice President, Liao Ruijin, the Director of the Office of Domestic Cooperation & Alumni Work, Hu Youqiang, the Party Secretary of the Foreign Languages College, Ou Ling, the Deputy Director of the Foreign Language Education Center at the Foreign Languages College, Huang Ping, and the Minister of the Comprehensive Department of the Education Development Foundation, Sun Wei, visited Sias University on September 20. Sias Executive President, Wang Jialin, accompanied the delegation on a campus tour that included the European Street, Chinese Garden, new School of Foreign Languages building, London Street, Huanyu Residential College, the CUBA Training Facility, and the Library.

After the campus tour, the delegation met with members of the Sias leadership. The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, attended the meeting, as did Wang Jialin, and the heads of the Administration Office, Educational Research Department, and School of Foreign Languages.

At the meeting, Liao Ruijin spoke of his appreciation of Sias' educational philosophy and achievements. He said that Sias' student-centered concept, industry-university cooperation, residential college system, internationalized environment, and high-quality resources provided for students to learn foreign languages, were worth learning from.

Dr. Shawn Chen, whose Alma mater is Chongqing University, thanked the delegation. He said that Sias University was the first full-time undergraduate university in Henan that was approved by the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council to grant Chinese and American Bachelor's degrees. Sias also combines Chinese and Western education, implements a holistic education, and is committed to producing talent that has an international perspective. He also spoke about the purpose of Sias' unique architectural designs and residential college system. He said that the internationalized campus, library, teaching facilities, dormitories, and living communities, provided students with an open environment for innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth. He said that he hoped that Sias University and Chongqing University would have deep ties with regard to education and cooperation.
