Sias University ushered in the first group of freshmen of the 2019/20 academic year on August 27. A large number of service centers from several administrative departments were set up at the Central Fountain Square, including those of academic schools and residential colleges.

Sias leaders such as the Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice President, Xu Shengdao, and Prof. Guo Junfeng, were present at the greeting stations, as were leaders from the Administration Office, and Academic Affairs Office. Li Huafeng met with several teachers and students who had volunteered to help with the process of enrollment and freshman registration.

The new academic year marks the beginning of a new era at Sias University. It coincides with the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Sias attached great importance to the coordination of departments, academic schools, and residential colleges, for the welcoming of freshmen, as well as the division of labor for registration.

According to the official plans, Sias University will welcome over 10,000 freshmen for the 2019/20 academic year between August 31 and September 1.
