On the evening of August 31, the Deputy Party Secretary of Sias, Li Huafeng, and Vice President, Xu Shengdao, led the heads of the Administration Office, Student Affairs Office, Supervision & Audit Department, Student Work Department, Logistics Department, and Security Department, on a tour of the new student apartments and dormitories in the various residential colleges at Sias to inspect the preparations of the new semester.

The leaders met with students and welcomed freshmen on behalf of the university. They also spoke to students about the living conditions to get feedback about the positives and the areas that required improvement in the dormitories. They encouraged students to engage with the leadership, as well as cooperate with each other so as to integrate into university life successfully. They also spoke to students about their academic specializations, career goals, interests, personal development, and campus cultural activities. The leaders said that they hoped that the students would set defined goals and work towards them at Sias while maintaining a high level of integrity and diligence.

The leaders also stressed the student-centered nature of Sias and reminded the departments that they should always listen to students' feedback and suggestions and understand their needs in-depth so that a good relationship is maintained between Sias, its students, and their parents.
