Sias signs Cooperation Agreement with iFLYTEK

At its 20th anniversary celebrations on May 25, Sias University signed a cooperation agreement with iFLYTEK Co. Ltd. The signatories were the Vice President of iFLYTEK, Yin Dahai, and the Executive President of Sias, Wang Jialin. The witnesses for the signing of the agreement were the COO of Personnel Training at iFLYTEK, Cui Xiaolei, the Director of the Henan Government-Enterprise Customer Group, Yang Shaoming, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, and Sias President, Chen Sikun.


The iFLYTEK School of Artificial Intelligence at Sias University is a cooperative institute established by iFLYTEK Co. Ltd. and Sias University. Combining Sias' East-meets-West educational philosophy and cutting-edge technology from iFLYTEK, Sias has adopted an innovative method of education to train high-quality talents in the field of artificial intelligence.


iFLYTEK is an intelligent voice and artificial intelligence company, well known across the Asia-Pacific region. It has been engaged in international cutting-edge technology with regard to voice and language recognition, natural language understanding, machine learning reasoning, and autonomous learning. In China, iFLYTEK is the only "National 863 Program Industrialization Base", "Key Software Enterprise in National Planning and layout", "National High-Tech Industrialization Demonstration Project", "National Intelligent Voice and High-Tech Industrialization Base", and "National Engineering Laboratory of Voice & Language Information Processing". The Ministry of Science & Technology has unequivocally supported iFLYTEK in its building of a National Key Laboratory of Cognitive Intelligence, which is the first national-level key laboratory for cognitive intelligence and advanced artificial intelligence in China.


The iFLYTEK School of Artificial Intelligence plans to establish 3 new disciplines in 2019:

- Information and Computing Science (specializing in big data analysis and visualization)

- Computer Science & Technology (specializing in business intelligence)

- Automation (specializing in intelligent systems)


In its first year, the School plans to recruit 300 students.


Through its tutorial system, an immersive environment, and project-based learning, the iFLYTEK School of Artificial Intelligence has created an advanced integrated talent training system with practical applicability as its focus. The aim is to contribute to the national development needs of big data and AI, to provide a good foundation for the informational sciences and mathematical statistics. The foundation of computer programming focuses on big data, the mastery of the core principles and processes of AI, the skillful use of data, AI models, tools, voice recognition, NLP (natural language processing), and image processing technology.
