On March 22, the Director of the Immersive Chinese Language Teaching Program at the Utah State Department of Education, the Director of the International Department of Henan's Department of Education, Xu Hengzhen, and the Director of the Henan Education and Chinese International Promotion Office, Huang Qiuli, along with 4 other members of the delegation, visited Sias University.

Accompanied by the Executive President of Sias, Wang Jialin, members of Sias' Office of International Affairs, and representatives of the School of Literature, the delegation was given a tour of the Sias campus that included an exhibition of calligraphy and painting, as well as a Dragon Dance performance.

Wang Jialin spoke of the development of Sias, its educational philosophy, campus design and planning, and the preparations for Sias' 20th Anniversary Celebrations. Lian Xinmei spoke of her appreciation of Sias' East-meets-West philosophy, campus culture, and said that she was impressed by Sias' international student program and culture-focused courses. The two sides exchanged views on student development, education, teaching and spoke of the possibility of more visits and cooperation in the future.

Despite having less than 1% of the US population, Utah has one-fifth of Chinese language learners in the USA. The visit of the delegation was arranged particularly to expand Sias' international reach and lay the foundation for possible exchanges and cooperation between the two parties in the future.
