Sias University held a leadership meeting for the promotion of its 20th anniversary celebrations on April 1. Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Sias President, Chen Sikun, Vice President, Wu Hua, and heads of several departments were present. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Director of the Administration Office, Ding Gongci.

In accordance with the development plans of the university, and with the upcoming 20th anniversary celebrations in mind, the leadership of Sias set up an office to oversee and coordinate the work. The office would oversee a number of groups including a Secretarial Group, Propaganda Group, Conference Affairs Group, Reception Group, Literary & Artistic Performance Group, Academic Activity Group, Cultural Activity Group, Alumni Activities Group, Parent Activity Group, Financial Assets Group, and Material Collections Group. The 15 groups would also include a Purchasing Group, Logistics Support Group, Infrastructure Support Group, Security Group, and Information Technology (IT) Group.

The Director of the 20th Anniversary Office, Qin Nan, briefed the leaders about the overall preparations for the anniversary celebrations. The leaders of the working groups delivered their reports, spoke of the obstacles, and shed light on their tasks and responsibilities.

Chen Sikun pointed out the importance of the 20th anniversary celebrations and the publicity it will bring to Sias University. He said that a lot had to be accomplished in the next 2 months, and each group needed a clear division of labor and responsibilities. Schedules needed to be made carefully with regular feedback and progress reports, as well as contingency plans for unscheduled delays.

Ma Jiansheng spoke about the importance of the preparatory work for the 20th anniversary celebrations. He said that the whole university needed to contribute to it. He said that great importance should be attached to the celebrations as it was an opportunity to showcase Sias' achievements and development over the past 20 years. He said that the organizational leadership needed to play a large part in the success of the anniversary celebrations.
