2018-19 Mental Health Knowledge Competition

In order to emphasize the importance of mental health, improve mental health awareness on campus, and create a positive and healthy campus atmosphere, Sias University held a Mental Health Knowledge Competition on April 2. The competition was sponsored by Sias' Mental Health Education & Counseling Center and was held at the Huanyu Residential College. Sias President, Chen Sikun, attended the event along with the head of the Academic Affairs Office, and the Deans of the Siqi, Boya, Mingli, and Huanyu Residential Colleges.


Chen Sikun spoke of the importance of mental health education among university students. He said that the competition was an opportunity to educate students at Sias about Mental Health Awareness.


Contestants were selected by the 8 residential colleges for the preliminary rounds. At the end of the competition, the team from Boya Residential College won the first prize, with the teams from Mingli, Boyi, and Huanyu Residential Colleges finishing second. The third prize was claimed by teams from Siqi, Zhiyuan, and Zhixing Residential Colleges.


The 2018-19 Mental Health Knowledge Competition was given a wide range of publicity on a variety of social media platforms. The goal is to enhance students' knowledge of mental health issues and provide them with the tools for optimizing their psychological adjustment and social adaptability at Sias, thereby addressing a number of psychological problems that students may face.
