Sias delegation visits University in Bangladesh

A 39-member delegation from Sias University visited Daffodil International University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from February 16 to 22. The delegation was headed by the Dean of the Huanyu Residential College at Sias, Yang Jiaqing.


Upon their arrival, a welcoming ceremony was held for the Sias delegation. Yang Jiaqing thanked Daffodil International University for their hospitality and welcome and said that he hoped that the two sides would continue to deepen ties and increase exchanges.


During the visit, the Sias delegation visited the Dhaka Museum, Dhaka University, the Bangladesh International Martyrs Monument, and other places of historical and educational significance. They took part in academic exchanges, as well as cultural aspects of Bangladeshi culture, such as pottery, art, and Mehndi (Henna hand art). The Sias delegation was also given an academic lecture by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Muhammad Yunus.


Through the week-long visit, Sias University deepened its ties and increased its knowledge of Daffodil International University, the Bangladeshi culture, and education in the South-Asian nation. Sias continues to cooperate with over 100 universities, colleges, and educational institutions across the world. As an international university, Sias has focused on the internationalization of education across its campus, carried out international exchanges, and has greatly increased the access to academic exchanges and studying abroad for its faculty and students.
