Tencent Dayu Network's 7th Golden Ding Awards for Education were held in Zhengzhou on January 3. Over 300 experts in the field of education from the Central Plains region gathered to discuss issues related to education in the Central Plains and recognize the achievements made in educational reform in the region. At the awards ceremony, Sias University was awarded the title of "2018 Private Universties' Brand Strength Award". The Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, was awarded the honorary title of "2018 Leader of the Education Industry in the Central Plains". Sias Executive President, Wang Jialin, represented Sias at the awards and delivered a keynote speech.

Wang Jialin spoke about Sias' integration of Chinese and Western educational philosophies, development in the past 20 years, changes in the new era, preparations for the university's 20th anniversary, and the upcoming 2nd Joint Association of Universities in Asia & the Pacific (AUAP) - International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) Conference to be held at Sias in May 2019. He pointed out that Sino-foreign cooperation was a part of the internationalization and development of education. He also said that Sias would continue to strive to be at the forefront of innovative private universities in the Central Plains region.

The Tencent Dayu Network was founded in 2011. It was jointly created by Tencent Technology and the Henan Daily Newspaper Group to recognize educational achievements in the Central Plains.
