Sias student wins 2nd prize at FLTRP ETIC Cup

From December 4 to 9, the Final Round of the ETIC (English Test for International Communication) Cup, the 17th National English Public Speaking Contest, was held at Beijing's International Conference Center. The ETIC Cup was organized by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP). Sias students Zuo Shi and Sun Jiaqi, members of Sias' English Speech Team took part in the Final Round. Zuo Shi won the second prize at the National Finals, which is the best result of a Sias student in this particular competition to date.


The Final Rounds of the English Public Speaking Contest attracted contestants from Beijing Foreign Studies University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and East China Normal University. After the preliminary rounds, which had over 40,000 contestants, Zuo Shi finished in the top 3 contestants of Henan. He then qualified for the Finals in Beijing where he won the second prize.
