Sias Orchestra holds 20th Anniversary Concert

The Sias Symphony Orchestra held a concert to celebrate Sias' 20th Anniversary on October 24. The concert was directed by Hu Binying and Peng Jianxin.


The chief guests were the Vice Chairman of the Henan Federation of Arts & Culture, Vice Chairman of the Henan Musicians Association, and Chairman of the Zhengzhou Municipal Musician's Association, Li Zhongdang; the Dean of the School of Music & Dance at Zhengzhou Normal University, and Vice President of the Henan Society of Music, Wang Guoliang; the Party Secretary of the Henan Symphony Orchestra, and Deputy Head of the Delegation, Hu Bo, and the Deputy Party Secretary of Sias, Li Huafeng. The concert was attended by almost 1,200 students and teachers from Sias' School of Music & Opera, and the various Residential Colleges.


The Sias Symphony Orchestra played a variety of styles of music including patriotic songs, interpretations of traditional dance music, Henan Opera music, and other traditional Chinese music.
