Sias International University celebrated Teachers' Day with a special function on September 6. The entire Sias leadership was present, including the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Shawn Chen, Party Secretary, Fei Hexiang, Sias President, Dr. Chen Sikun, Executive Vice President, Dong Qiming, Vice President, Liu Shuqin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Proctor Han Xiaoai, and Assistant Principals, Sun Rujian, and Guo Xuede. Also in attendance were the deans of all the schools of schools Sias.

The function began with a special Teachers' Day video produced by the Sias News Center, with interviews of several teachers, staff, and leaders speaking about the teachers who had the biggest influence on their lives. Dr. Shawn Chen then delivered a speech, congratulated the staff, and welcomed the new employees. He also spoke about innovation in education and encouraged the Sias faculty and staff to keep up with current educational trends, formulate long-term strategic development goals for Sias, and be open to change and globalization. He stressed concepts such as diversification, internationalization, globalization, and their impact on international education and universities in China.

Sias President, Dr. Chen Sikun, thanked the teachers for their contribution towards Sias' steady improvement and progress over the past 19 years along with its growing reputation in society and the constantly improving quality of its graduates. There were also speeches by teachers' representative, Zhao Jing, new employees' representative, Chen Ruohan, and students' representative, Duan Yingzhen. Executive Vice President, Dong Qiming, then announced the awards ceremony for outstanding Sias faculty and staff. The event was closed by Party Secretary, Fei Hexiang.
