To continue to improve the teaching quality and professionalism of teachers, Sias International University organized an advanced educational teaching seminar in the Sias administration building on the afternoon of April 20. The keynote speakers were a professor and doctoral tutor at the Capital Normal University, and member of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission Training Center, Prof. Xing Hongjun, and the President Emeritus of Fort Hays State University, Kansas, U.S.A., Dr. Edward Hammond. Also present were the deans of various departments at Sias, senior members of the Sias faculty, and new teachers. The seminar was chaired by the Director of Human Resources, Wang Qiuhong.

The President Emeritus of Fort Hays State University, Dr. Edward Hammond, said that the cultural environment of Sias International University was energetic and provided teachers with a good platform for academic research. He hoped that teachers would use the resources to continually broaden their horizons, which would, in turn, help Sias produce better students. The Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, then welcomed the keynote speakers. He spoke about the development of Sias for the past 19 years, the continuing education and teaching reform, the steady improvement of the quality of personnel training, and the increasing scale of enrollment. He said that these achievements would not have been possible without the contribution and conscientiousness of the teachers. He said that he hoped that efforts to improve would continue and help in the development of Sias.

Professor Xing Hongjun delivered a lecture on the 'Upgrading of University Teaching Skils'. In it he explained the basic norms of university teaching skills, including language skills, importing, explanation, writing, strengthening, and change. Videos related to these topics were also shown to the teachers present to aid in the improvement of their classes.
