The President Emeritus of Fort Hays State University, Dr. Edward Hammond, and the Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, visited the Henan Provincial Department of Education on April 20. The Deputy Director of the Henan Department of Education, Yin Hongbin, met with Dr. Chen and Dr. Hammond and discussed student exchanges and international cooperation.

At the meeting, Yin Hongbin pointed out that Henan was a major source of university students, and that there were plenty of high-quality students for whom international exchanges and cooperation would be beneficial. Providing these students with high-quality educational resources formed a major part of the provincial Department of Education's efforts. He said he hoped that both Sias and Fort Hays State University (FHSU) would strengthen their cooperation and would continue to provide students in Henan with international education. Dr. Shawn Chen and Dr. Edward Hammond explained the fine details of the cooperation between Sias and FHSU over the past two decades, both in Henan and Kansas, U.S.A. They expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the Henan Department of Education for this international cooperation.

Members of Henan's Department of Education's International Office, the Director of the Licensing Department, the Assistant Provost for Strategic Partnerships at FHSU, Cindy Elliott, and relevant members of Sias International University were also present at the meeting.
